Malicious email alerts and a gentle reminder!
By adrian.aylandsystemforce.co.uk In On December 23, 2015
Over the festive period, malicious email alerts may not be published as often, however as always the threat of malicious emails at this time of year will be particularly high.
Criminals do not rest and are well known to use this time of year for “phishing” scams – where they try to steal account credentials and/or perform identity theft – which is why you should never use the same username and password combination for more than one website – as well as the usual malicious risks we all encounter such as virus infected emails etc.
We recommend that if you receive ANY emails from sites that you use, such as social networks (facebook etc) banks, paypal, ebay or amazon, that you do not open any attachments within them and do not click any links within them.
It is best to access those websites directly, as this mitigates the risks of malicious links and attachments.
Finally, may we wish you seasons greetings from all the team at System Force I.T.
