“INVOICE ADVISE” and related False Invoice Emails

Below are some images that are just an Example of what a fake Invoice related email can look like. There are many variations in the wording and way they are portrayed however they all have similarities. The first thing that should flag up in your mind is “I’m not expecting an invoice from this person”. If you are not expecting it, you can almost guarantee that this is a fake and malicious email. Another trait to look out for is the Email address compared to the name of the “Sender”. In Malicious emails these rarely ever match, as you can see in the Pictures below the “Senders” name is “Blanche Dean”, yet the email address says “Rashad.eeb@…”.
The golden rule to follow is that if you are in any doubt about the validity of an email and its contents, do not open it. Instead forward a copy of the email to Virus.Scan@systemforce.co.uk and proceed to delete the email.
